Virgin Voyages is a new cruise line created by the extravagant British billionaire Richard Branson and the big investment fund Bane Capital. The company’s goal is to revolutionize the cruise vacation market by occupying the niche of adult cruises. This year, their first liner, Scarlet Lady, was launched. Today we’ll tell you all about the most interesting premiere of the year in the cruise industry.
At the very beginning of the development of the concept of the liner, the cruise company Virgin voyages hired 10 architects to create spaces that look more like hotels than other cruise ships. All the people working on interiors have never designed a ship before.
Cruises Virgin voyages designed for people who would never take a cruise. You don’t have to compare the Scarlet Lady with other cruise ships – she is specially designed to be completely different!
- Cruises for adults only. You must be over 18 years of age to board. No kids.
- More than 20 completely free restaurants on board. No big buffet, no buffet and no lunch schedule. Only small, stylish restaurants of different cuisines of the world.
- The cruise rate includes soft drinks, fitness and gratuities.
- 86% of all cabins are cabins with a balcony, 93% of them are cabins with an ocean view.

The liner turned out to be very industrial. This is not a cozy ship. The interior details are almost harsh. I love the large round windows and the abundance of sparkling chrome.
The Scarlet Lady will be perfect for fitness enthusiasts: the gym is huge, and deck 17 has a large yoga space, as well as a boxing ring and outdoor equipment.
A bright red jogging track around Deck 17 with unlimited sea views. Ideal for walking even when you are not running.
A beautiful spa area with spacious thermal relaxation rooms, a plunge pool, an ocean-view sauna and a mud spa.
The design of the cabins should attract young clients Made in gray, white and red minimalist designs, they will definitely appeal to many. Bathrooms are small but showers inside are comfortable. A nice touch is the very comfortable hammocks on every balcony.
The highlight is the thematic suites. For example, rock stars suite:
